Your system is only as secure, as your latest backup!
Many people consider Canadians to be a little Insurance Happy.
In fact, I like this term and that's exactly what we all must be with respect to our Vetware Data;
Backup Happy.
In fact, with computer data, the terms Backup and Insurance, are synonymous.
It is critical that your Vetware data be backed up Daily
The good news is that Vetware has Backup procedures built into its software. On all of your
Windows desktops, you will find an icon for Vetware Backup.
If it is not present,
or you have any probblems with performing this backup, please call Compu-Trust immediately.
Our Backup procedures have three levels of security built in.
Daily Backup: This will backup your current Vetware database, including all account, animal,
and history. This also includes recalls, daily lists & financial figures and amounts in the backup.
Monthly Backup: This will backup the entire Vetware folder.
Thus the above database is stored along with all archived Vetware data.
All your supporting documents, letters and forms and also saved.
Custom Backup: This backup has been specially designed to allow all users full control
over their backup procedures. Using this technique, a clinic may choose any folder from any drive
within their network system and target it to be backed up.
Please note, your Vita-Tech results and animal pictures may require this special custom backup level.
Many clinics have had their local hardware technicians design backup procedures specific to their needs.
This is good, and always appreciated.
But, at Compu-Trust, we can only retreive data from our procedures.
We know our procedures, and believe that they will securely backup your data.
Thus we ask...
Even if you have local backup procedures, run the Vetware Backup. They will take 3 to 5 minutes
to run, anytime Vetware is closed.
Many clinics use our procedures as secondary procedures, to backup their Vetware data, Daily,
to a second workstation on the network, by setting the Destination of Backup to C:\Backup\
Be Backup Happy, run our Vetware Backup.
