Vetware II - 2010 Date Fix Patch
We have designed a simple and straightforward patch for you which will enable your system to run indefinitely without requiring a full software upgrade.
We suggest that you save this file to your main server, as it needs to be run on (extracted to) each Vetware workstation.
Then, you will point the Vetware icon on each computer to one of the newly loaded files. Thus, with each next running of Vetware, this new Date Fix program will launch. The program displays a tiny message window, showing you that your computers date has been automatically changed to Dec 12th, 2010
and your regular Vetware login screen will appear. You will have 10 seconds to type in your password and proceed into Vetware. After 10 seconds, your computer will be reset to the correct date automatically.
By doing this, your Vetware system date check will always see the date as Dec. 12th, 2010 thereby allowing you to proceed with the login. Should you take longer to open Vetware, you will receive a message indicating that your demo has expired.
If this occurs, simply restart Vetware and login before the 10 seconds run out.
Step 1
Download Vetware Date Fix patch... (click here)
Save to your server, suggest in folder... M:\VetSetup (or save to a flash drive if required)
If using a flash drive, please manually transfer the file (copy and paste) to the VetSetup folder
of the main server once at the clinic
Step 2 Install Vetware Date Fix patch
Please Run the VetDateFix program on each computer, as follows...
Click on Start
Run
type in M:\VetSetup\VetwareFixDate.exe and click OK
If prompted, click on Run
Click on... Extract in upper right, extracting to requested folder C:\Vetware
Click on... OK when complete
Click on... Close to close the program
Step 3 Change Your Vetware Desktop Icon
Right click on Vetware icon on your desktop
Left click on Properties
Currently Target is set to... C:\Vetware\Vetware.exe
Please change Target to... C:\Vetware\VetDateFix.exe
Click... OK to save these changes
Step 4 To Test
Double click on the time, located in the lower right corner of your desktop, to display the calendar
Double click on your Vetware icon to open Vetware
You should see a small window appear in the upper left corner of your monitor, indicating that your computer has been back dated to Dec 12th, 2010
Note that the date on your Windows calendar confirms this
As the Vetware login screen opens, simply wait and watch the Vetware message to see that your computer date reverts to the correct date within 10 seconds, at which time the Vetware Date Set message closes.
